Start with the books you already own
A book inventory helps when your collection is spread across rooms, you accidentally buy a title twice or you lose track of borrowed books. Start with one shelf and add the rest at your own pace.
Niblio lets you add a book by scanning its barcode, searching by title, author or ISBN, or entering the details manually. Check the edition and cover before you finish the entry.
Organize by location or by your own categories
Name your shelves after real places, such as “Living room” or “Bedroom”, to remember where to look for a copy. You can also choose categories that make sense to you.
Reading status answers a different question: what is pending, what you are reading and what you have finished. Keeping location and reading status separate makes both easier to use.
| What you need | How to organize it |
|---|---|
| Find a book at home | A shelf named after its location. |
| Remember what to read next | Pending status and library filters. |
| Bring a series together | A series with its volumes in order. |
| Remember who has a copy | A book loan record. |
Keep series together and loans accounted for
Group the books in a series, arrange them and see their covers together. You can create as many series as you need, including in the free version. The free limit applies to the total number of books in your library.
When you lend a book, record who borrowed it. Niblio also tracks books borrowed from others and keeps a history of loans and returns.
Keep a copy of your catalog
Your library is stored locally on your device with no account required. The backup system lets you export and import your collection. Keep a copy somewhere you can reach if you lose or replace your phone.
All features are free for up to 100 books. If your library grows, Niblio Unlimited removes the book limit with a one-time purchase and no subscription.
